BLANC IRIS released its Fall/Winter 2026 collection on September 4. The Paris lookbook places the plant-inspired OMBRE VERTE beside CINEMA, composed of overlapping curves, and POINTILLISTE, which strings together small stones. Even in isolation, the botanical group reveals the season's broader contrast between line and volume. Founded in Paris in 2012, the brand has connected design with workshop techniques in Japan and Italy. Botanical observation is similarly translated from drawing into the language of metalwork.
Leaving openings and outlines instead of copying a leaf
Leaves across the genus Monstera do not share one uniform shape. Plants of the World Online, maintained by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, describes the genus as usually having leaves that are perforated, deeply divided, or both. The climbing plants are native from Mexico through tropical America. OMBRE VERTE is not a specimen of one identified species. It abstracts a complex outer form and its shadow, keeping the botanical description separate from the designer's interpretation.
If a sheet of silver were simply cut into a leaf, the plant could remain a single symbol. This series separates rounded surfaces from hollow outlines and arranges them without bilateral regularity. Metal and its absence alternate, leaving a leaf's openings as space itself. Black clothing strengthens those outlines, while skin or a pale background makes them lighter. What lies underneath becomes part of the design.
The official necklace page specifies sterling silver, a price of ¥132,000 including tax, a 46-centimeter length, and a motif measuring approximately two by 1.8 centimeters. The earrings cost ¥55,000, measure 5.6 centimeters in total, and combine motifs at different scales. Even at these small dimensions, the contrast between smooth surface and narrow outline remains visible. Measurements establish scale, while the neck or ear changes how that scale is perceived.
A still plant changes its shadow through the moving hand
Monstera is a climbing plant whose leaf spreads as a plane. Jewelry, by contrast, occupies moving areas of the body: neck, ear, and wrist. OMBRE VERTE's separated elements change angle when an arm lifts, a face turns, or a person walks, rearranging both silver reflections and shadows on skin. The movable metal takes up, by another means, the change between front and back that a leaf shows in light.
The bracelet in the main image is priced at ¥99,000 including tax. Its broad body stays around the wrist while narrow motifs swing below. By placing a stable surface and moving lines together, it comes closer to the moment when a botanical shadow loosens in wind than to a fixed leaf emblem.
The series name means green shadow in French, yet its color is entirely silver. Without reproducing green, the work assigns its botanical quality to outline, opening, overlap, and sway. The choice is less about wearing a piece of nature than wearing the structure that remains after seeing it.
Black-and-white photography brings the silver surface closer
Photographer MAXIME SEVE shot the Fall/Winter 2026 lookbook in Paris, with art direction by SAUVAGE111. In black and white, the green of a leaf and the color of skin disappear, leaving the contrast among reflective silver, black clothing, and a pale background. The images establish a distance from which forms derived from a plant's shadow can be read without showing the plant. Unlike a product image concerned with exact appearance, the lookbook also directs the eye after a piece is worn.
The hands covering the face do more than make the figure anonymous. Gaps between fingers, the circles of rings, and openings in the bracelet align vertically, suggesting that the human body also contains multiple intervals. A form based on botanical openings becomes a frame for seeing the hand again once worn.
Choosing between the green store and the white screen

A screen permits close inspection of outlines; in person, weight, movement, and the shadow on skin can be considered as well. Whether Monstera is sought in the name or in the space created on the body may change which form feels most persuasive.
Rather than miniaturizing a leaf intact, OMBRE VERTE separates the features that make one appear leaf-like. That is where its botanical character resides.
