Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design’s Autumn Collection 2026 is scheduled to launch at its directly operated stores and official online shop on September 9. The collection places preserved and fresh flowers side by side, and its first striking pieces are flower boxes and cubes led by dahlias. Rather than using the flower’s name as decoration, the designs select two varieties and build their depth from colour and overlapping petals.
Choosing colour through two dahlias
The preserved-flower dahlias are accompanied by roses, carnations, hydrangeas, and fruiting branches. According to the official announcement, the store-only Ruby Dahlia and Velvet Dahlia use pink and red, while the online-only Mandarine Dahlia is arranged in orange. The dahlias are not simply enlarged for emphasis; the colours and forms of nearby flowers receive the density of their petals at close range.
The boxes measure 11 by 11 by 9 centimetres in small and 15 by 15 by 9 centimetres in medium. In a vessel of this scale, the dahlias’ rounded layers do not read as a flat pattern but as colour settling toward the bottom of the box.
